I've basically never drawn anything before in my life, EVER. I'm twenty-two. It's obviously time to start--and I'm using the internet to teach me.
So last night, I was like OMG I AM DOING THIS I AM STARTING THIS PROJECT. Annnd then we had a power outage? Cue this terrible cellphone picture of me following internet proportion tutorials by flashlight.
(Don’t panic; I actually own both a scanner and a real camera, and someday I’ll use both of them.)
Step One: finding tutorials, compiling references, weeping.
So maybe I’ve been looking at too much Homestuck fanart lately. But today as I was cooking the world’s laziest chicken parmigiana (this is a photo of it, it is soooo lazy that even the photo is lazy and taken on my phone) I was like, do you know what I regret? I regret that I never learned to draw when I was a kid. Now I’m twenty-two years old and if you’re lucky, I could probably draw you a flower with a smiley-face on it.
Welp, bitches, I am twenty-two years old and I am gonna mothereffing learn to draw.

I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be hard and also terrible. LET’S DO THIS THING. D-does anybody know where to start?
I intend to either prove or possibly disprove that it's never too late to learn to art. When I'm not not being able to draw, I have a regs tumblr that's mostly full of puppies and majestic scenery and whatever. It's TruckThat.
